I've always wanted to have my own clothing line. You know, it's like when someone is wearing it & then they asked where is it from the person will be like ''Oh, it's from Syerascloset.'' You get dem feels? It's like hey, I designed this, I made this for girls like you to look beautiful!

 

 

There were many ups & downs in this. I made a decision to come out with my own clothing line for raya in like March? My mom said I ''buang tebiat'' with all these last minute stuffs whereas my dad said........

 

 

''Go ahead. No one will stop you. However, there's something that I want to tell you. In business, there will be ups & downs. At the end of the day, profit is not the only thing that you will earn. It will never be easy.''

 

 

I was, scared. I asked myself if I will be able to do it. Should I? Or should I not?

 

 

After much thoughts, I decided to follow this saying that the malay matreps love to say ''Go jer don't scared.'' 

 

 

I will never understand what is the ''real success'' if I were to stay in my comfort zone & not try new things. I used to be afraid of little things in business like;

 

 

1) Typos in emails

(Ooookay, sounds stupid but hmmm

it can always lead to a different meaning ya) 

 

2) Informing customers that items are already out of stock

(There was once when an item went out of stock.

There were quite a number of customers that were affected.

So what I did? I wrote them an email, with tears rolling down my cheeks.

I cried as if I just experienced a breakup or something. WHAT EVEN but seriously, that was how I scared I was.)

 

3) Having competitors around me.

(I'm afraid that I will be left behind

or

I will be defeated badly

or

maybe they will 'steal' my customers

BUT

hey, at the end of the day it's all about how you manage your own business.

Treat your competitors like you friends and not enemies,

it will never do you any good for you to hate yor competitors.)

 

Okay, so enough of my mak nenek's stories about my obstacles.

 

 

Basically, my raya collection are targeted for all those young & pretty ladies no matter if you're a Size S or even 6XL. We have it all for you. We just want you to slayyyy, no matter what size you are.

We're (or actually me basically) trying not to go too modern because I feel that our malay culture is so important 

& it can be reflected in what we wear.

​

Therefore, we have beautiful & elegant songket designs for our raya collection this year.

You can never go wrong with songket, true that?
